Garrett's Journey: The Language Beyond Words

Early Years: A Body Working Harder Than It Should

A story of sensitivity, strength, and the quiet power of energetic connection.

From the moment Garrett arrived, his body carried a sensitivity I didn’t yet understand. He faced challenges early in his autism journey, including jaundice, detoxification issues, and muscle weakness around his mouth that hindered his ability to form words. Years later, discovering his high arsenic levels answered many questions — but also brought a wave of fear and urgency.

I knew he would need biofeedback support in ways that didn’t follow the traditional path. Garrett grew, learned, adapted, and communicated — just not through spoken language. His expressions were conveyed through movement, energy, and presence. He understood far more than he could express, and I learned to listen with my eyes, my intuition, and my heart, embracing the beauty of non-verbal communication.

The Labs That Changed Everything

Garrett's Test Results

In 2008, we discovered that his body was on overload with heavy metals, which became a pivotal moment in our autism journey. We chose a natural path to detox him, incorporating biofeedback support to enhance his energetic connection with the world around him. By 2010, he was a much happier child, showing improved non-verbal communication and engagement.

Below the table is a photo of a smiling young boy with short brown hair, wearing a greenish plaid shirt, sitting against a wooden background.

This deeper insight fosters an energetic connection that facilitates non-verbal communication, opening doors to more profound support.

A Nervous System Searching for Calm

For years, our sleep challenges felt like a significant part of our autism journey. Nights were chaotic and exhausting: Brad going to sleep at 1am, Garrett waking at 2, then 3, then 4, then 5, and finally settling at 6am when his caregiver arrived. I often felt as if I had gone through a war every night. There was no rhythm, no rest, no reset—just survival, day after day. Yet, through it all, Garrett remained gentle, intuitive, and deeply connected in his own way, showcasing a unique form of non-verbal communication and an energetic connection that helped us navigate the challenges together, with biofeedback support guiding us along the way.

The Big Turning Point

His First Experience With Frequencies

I will never forget the moment that changed everything.

It was our very first biofeedback session — a remote session, not even running actively — when Garrett suddenly stopped in his tracks.

He felt it.

Not in a vague, maybe-sort-of way.

He felt it.

His entire body paused.

He turned inward.

It was as if his system recognized something familiar — something supportive — an energetic connection that spoke his language, especially as part of his autism journey.

From that moment, I knew I needed to follow this path of biofeedback support and explore the depths of non-verbal communication.

What Frequency Work Has Supported in Garrett

Garrett has been completely non-verbal his entire life. But he communicates in energy — and he responds to energy. His autism journey has been positively influenced by frequency work, which has provided him with: deeper calm, smoother sleep (our nights are no longer chaos), fewer disruptions and quicker returns to sleep, better regulation, more presence in his body, more intentional mouth and vocal movement, and more openness to new routines.

While he still doesn’t use spoken words, the sounds he makes now carry meaning, purpose, and connection. He is aware. He is attuned. He is present in ways he wasn’t before.

Frequency work didn’t “give him a voice”—it offered biofeedback support that helped his nervous system settle, allowing his true self to shine through more clearly. This energetic connection has been transformative for him.

A Glimpse Into Garrett’s World

This video was created by Garrett’s therapy center several years ago and features one of his wonderful caregivers. It provides a beautiful window into his personality, his relationships, and the way he engages in non-verbal communication. Garrett’s autism journey is a reminder that connection can take many forms, and that communication is not limited to speech. His story illustrates the power of energetic connection and the role of biofeedback support in enhancing understanding. Check out his video here!

Who Garrett Is Today

Today, Garrett is:

gentle and intuitive

calm in ways I once prayed for

expressive through movement, energy, and sound

emotionally perceptive

beautifully connected to the people who care for him

responsive to vibrational and energetic support

deeply present in his own unique way

And we still have challenges.

He requires full-time care, support with daily living, and environments that understand his pacing and sensory needs. His autism journey is one that highlights both the struggles and the beauty of his existence.

He will likely need lifelong care — and that reality is a part of our journey.

But challenges do not diminish the profound beauty of who he is.

His progress is not measured in spoken sentences — it’s measured in:

✨ regulation

✨ ease

✨ sleep

✨ calm

✨ presence

✨ and the moments where his true self shines through

That is Garrett’s language of non-verbal communication.

And it is powerful, especially in how we utilize biofeedback support and foster an energetic connection that enhances his well-being.

A Message for Other Parents

If your child is non-verbal or navigating complex challenges in their autism journey, please know that their story is not limited by what they cannot do. Connection goes beyond words, and non-verbal communication can be just as powerful. Progress is not linear, and moments of breakthrough can come quietly, softly, and unexpectedly. With biofeedback support, you can enhance their experiences and foster an energetic connection. You do not have to walk this journey alone.

If Garrett’s story speaks to you…

I would love to learn more about your child’s autism journey and explore whether this work might help bring more harmony into your home through biofeedback support and fostering an energetic connection, particularly in the area of non-verbal communication.
